Six-Shooter — Six Origins. One Standard.

This one takes some explaining — not because it's complicated, but because it earns the complexity. Six distinct origins, each chosen for what it brings to the chair. Not mixed for novelty. Blended because the sum beats any single part — the same way a real cut is balance, not one technique doing all the work.

Latin American beans lay down deep chocolate and caramel structure. African origins bring the brightness and a touch of fruit that keeps the dark roast from going flat. Asian beans ground the whole thing — earthy, full-bodied, weighty enough to anchor every sip. Six chambers, all loaded, all pulling in the same direction.

Roasted dark and with intention, this is the most versatile cup on the menu, and it proves it everywhere you put it. It pulls clean and bold as espresso, holds its frame through a long cold-brew steep in the OXO Cold Brew maker, runs nine cups deep in the OXO Brew 9 for a full shop, and still satisfies straight from a Kalita Wave Tsubame pour-over with nothing added. Whatever way you brew, it's already in the right grind for the job.

It's in the rotation because it's reliable the way only something well-built can be — and for a Black Label coffee, where the dark roasts live on the edge, this one's surprisingly easy to get along with. If coffee were a haircut, this would be the one that works on everybody who sits down. It's also one of the cups in my own What I Drink lineup, and it's the bag you'll find on the retail shelf in the shop year-round.

Bold, deep, and built to do everything well — this is how Blade & Bean blends the world.
