Cold brew is the most forgiving way to make coffee and the easiest to overthink. This takes the overthinking out. Add your coarse grounds, add your water, let it steep overnight — and wake up to a smooth, low-acid concentrate you can run hot or cold all week.

The Rainmaker soaks the whole bed evenly so you're pulling flavor from every ground, not just the ones the water happened to hit. The borosilicate glass carafe is built for the fridge, with measurement markings right on the stopper and a silicone seal that keeps your concentrate fresh between pours. When it's done, an easy switch starts the filtration with clean hands, and it automatically stops the second you lift the carafe — no mess on the counter. 

The ultra-fine stainless mesh filter is reusable, rinses clean, and is the only filter this maker needs. It's what I use, and it's what I'd put my name on — that fine mesh lets the coffee's natural oils through, and those oils are exactly where cold brew gets its body and character.

You'll notice we don't carry the OXO paper filters. They strip those oils out for a cleaner, near-sediment-free cup — and for most folks that's a downgrade, not an upgrade. We curate what goes in the cup the same way we curate everything else: by what we'd actually use. If you want paper filtration, it's easy to find anywhere. We just won't be the ones handing it to you.

The whole thing comes apart to wash, nests down small for storage, holds 40 oz, sits neat on the counter, and is BPA-free.

Pair it with our coarse-ground cold brew coffees — COLD BREW RESERVE, HONE & STROP, or COWBOY CUT — and you've got top-shelf cold brew at home with none of the chaos. This is good gear. I wouldn't put it on the shelf if it wasn't.
