Three Origins · High Pressure · Zero Static · Black Label
The coffee from East Africa doesn't whisper. Kenya brings the bold brightness, Tanzania locks in the structure, Ethiopia layers in wild, complex fruit — three untamed origins that would overwhelm a lesser roast. So we don't soften them. We sharpen them. Same as a good barber doesn't tame a tough head of hair by fighting it — he reads it and works with what's there.
This Black Label medium-dark blend is engineered for pressure. Under a true espresso pull it builds thick, velvety crema over a deep dark-chocolate base, then cuts through with bright citrus zest and a clean berry finish that lingers exactly like a good Bay Rum aftershave settling in after the chair spins around. It's made for espresso and shines in espresso ground — but this is a versatile one, so it's also offered in whole bean and standard ground to run however you brew. Pull it as a shot, push it through an AeroPress, or let it open all the way up in a Kalita Wave Tsubame pour-over — that polished Tsubame is the top of Kalita's wave line and it earns the spot, pulling every layer out of this blend one even pour at a time. It holds its edge in every format because it was built that way.
At Blade & Bean, specialty-grade means less than 3% of all coffee produced worldwide qualifies. Safari Shot is roasted only after your order is placed — never sitting on a shelf, never compromised. That's not a promise. That's the standard.
From blade to brew — perfection.
