Sam's third generation. I trained her hands myself before barber school ever got to her, and she works the straight razor with a feather-light touch — gentle, sure, smooth all the way through. She'll talk you through every pass while she does it, too, telling you exactly what's happening before it happens. This is her cup: easy, steady, and smoother than you expect. Some cuts are flash. Some cups demand your attention. This isn't one of them — and that's the entire point. The Easy Chair is the seat you sink into without a second thought.

There's an honest reason it earns the "easy." This is the low-altitude origin — and low altitude is exactly what makes a coffee mellow and round instead of sharp and demanding. Brazil grows roughly a third of all the coffee on earth and has anchored the global market since the 1840s; it's the dependable backbone nearly every blend leans on. The sun does the work here: the cherry dries with its sugary fruit still clinging to the bean, drinking those sugars straight in, muting the sharpness into something exceptionally gentle and easy on the stomach.

It drinks like a liquid candy bar — soft cocoa, toasted hazelnut, warm caramel, a clean sweetness finishing with a soft hint of stone fruit. The second sip smoother than the first. The cup you reach for on autopilot, because — like Sam at the chair — it never once lets you down.

Roasted in small batches after you order. Never before.
