Colombia — Medellín, Antioquia, Colombia Medium Roast | 1,300–1,500 MASL | Fully Washed / Solar Dried | Excelso EP

Medellín's reputation in coffee is the same as its reputation in craftsmanship — earned over generations, backed by geography, and not easily replicated. The volcanic slopes of Antioquia sit at the kind of elevation where slow development produces complexity that lower-altitude growing regions spend their whole existence trying to approximate. This is the origin that defines Colombian coffee as a standard, not a style.

Specialty-grade Excelso EP beans, cultivated by smallholder farmers who hand-harvest at peak ripeness and process with full washed methodology — fermentation, washing, and solar drying in sequence, each step removing what doesn't belong and clarifying what does. The result is a cup with the kind of clean, transparent flavor that only washed processing produces: layered dark chocolate on the body, mango and peach brightness in the mid-palate, and a finish complex enough that the last sip reads differently than the first.

Rounded body. Medium acidity. No shortcuts in the sourcing, no blends in the bag. Every order roasted in small batches after it is placed, at 1,300 to 1,500 meters above sea level where the work was done right the first time.

Bold, precise, and sourced from the region that set the Colombian standard — this is Blade & Bean's Colombia
