Peru — Piura & Amazonas, Peru Medium Roast | 1,100–1,700 MASL | Fully Washed / Sun Dried | Grade 1, SHG, EP
The Andes don't produce coffee quietly. They produce it at altitude, in clay-rich mountain soils that absorb mineral complexity slowly and deliver it deliberately — the kind of development that takes years of growing conditions to build and a careful roaster to honor. Cooperativa Agricola de Servicios Norandino works the highlands of Piura and Amazonas at the standard that Grade 1, Strictly High Grown, European Prep classification demands: grown at elevation, sorted for defects, and presented without compromise.
The medium roast reveals what the altitude built. Salted caramel leads — warm, nuanced, and grounded — followed by a silky sweetness that carries the body through the mid-palate with a smoothness that's rare in South American lots at this price point. Crisp citrus brightness lifts the finish without sharpening it into acidity. Fully washed and sun-dried processing keeps the clarity intact from origin to cup. The result is a coffee that lands somewhere between comfort and sophistication and stays there for every sip.
Every batch roasted in small quantities after your order is placed.
A cup that's earned its smoothness through elevation, cooperative care, and the discipline of not cutting corners in the growing or the processing.
Silky, layered, and sourced from Andean highlands built for this standard — this is Blade & Bean's Peru
